For me photography is telling stories, whether it’s a dog portrait or a person.
With my work I aim to address important socio/ political issues from all over the world.
Even though a picture can say more than a thousand words I also think it’s important to have a meaning / purpose with the story we want to tell, and why we want to tell it. That’s what separates a person trying to make a difference from another just exploiting people for own gain.

I currently work on my book “Outcasts” – a collection of portraits accompanied by a personal story, of people who have lived or live on the street.

I am also founding / creating the “Love Mutt” foundation: which represents that all dogs are mutts and equals. They all deserve the same love and care, regardless of breed or past.

For me it’s also essential to tell the person’s story in order to raise awareness and fight ignorance and prejudice.

We all recognise the marked face of a person (or a dog) on a street, but we rarely know what drove the person into that horrific and often inhumaine situation .

A short comment from each story is attached to each portrait.

I also have a great passion for dogs; a collection of pictures of domesticated and stray dogs can be seen here.
